I am currently the UX lead for Google Devices and Services product support. I work on developing user and agent diagnostic tools for Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit. I also oversee UX vendors who help identify opportunities to expand our self-service support offerings. My passion for UX isn’t restricted to work. In my downtime, I enjoy mentoring other looking to switch into UX, supporting with their projects, and helping them build their portfolios.
My design journey
Started out as a Fine Arts major, but shifted to Graphic Design after being inspired by the Bauhaus Movement.
Worked most of my career in digital design, building user experiences across e-commerce sites.
Took a break to try out print design, but realized I missed the connection between designing the front end and back end of experiences.
Returned to digital design and naturally gravitated towards UX design.
My design approach
-
I embrace a collaborative approach to design, actively involving stakeholders from the outset to foster a spirit of teamwork and generate a wide range of ideas. This early engagement ensures that everyone is aligned on the project goals and that diverse perspectives are considered from the start.
-
At the heart of my design philosophy lies a deep understanding of user needs and pain points. Through in-depth interviews with stakeholders and support agents, I gain firsthand insights into the real-world challenges faced by users. This empathetic approach allows me to design solutions that not only address user needs but also resonate with their experiences.
-
I recognize that projects often evolve, and I am prepared to monitor and adapt to changes as they arise. Whether it's timeline shifts or technical limitations, I approach these challenges with flexibility and adaptability, ensuring that the project remains on track and delivers the best possible outcomes.
-
My design process is fueled by a genuine desire to create products and services that are not only functional but also enjoyable to use. I prioritize understanding user needs and pain points, validating design approaches with users, and refining designs iteratively to enhance the overall user experience.
